A great workout for the hot weather!!!

With this hot weather it makes it that much harder to get up, get out, and exercise. 

    • Well, we’ve got a great workout you can do right in your pool!  You will want to do each of the following moves for a min or two in the shallow end of your pool.  These moves will give you a perfect combination of cardio, sculpting, and strengthening your core!

 

  • Jog in Place: keeping your knees high
  • Quickly jump from side to side with your feet together
  • Elbow to knee: cross your right elbow to your left knee and, alternate sides
  • Squat Jumps: squat down with arms at shoulder height; jump up while raising arms overhead
  • Jog in Place: keeping your knees high
  • Bicycles: Lean back against the pool, arms outstretched and pedal your legs
  • Crunches:from bicycle, extend legs in front of you, keeping your feet together and pull both knees into chest and back to starting position.
  • Flutter Kicks: Hold onto the edge of the pool, arms extended, and kick legs quickly
  • Outer-thigh lifts: Stand with left side near the wall, feet together, holding the edge of the wall with your right hand, lift your left leg out to side. (15-20 reps on each side)

    So now there is no excuse not to get up and get your heart rate up!  Have a blessed weekend and remember YOU CAN DO IT!!!
