Get Up & Get Active!

Good Morning!!!

This is Mary & Maria from Morning Glory Boot Camp!  First we would like to congratulate all of you on all your hard work towards a healthier life!  We can’t emphasize enough on how important is to stay active and healthy!  Heart disease is the #1 killer in women today and that can be prevented if we just stay active with exercise and by eating healthy! 

We can all do this!

                  Here are some other reasons to help motivate all of us to get up and get active!

1.       Physical activity helps you lose weight by burning calories, boosting resting metabolism, and helps in muscle and bone loss.

2.      High levels of physical activity can decrease your risk of colon cancer by 40-50 %.

3.      Exercise helps you get better sleep.

4.      Walking 30min five days a week can increase your life span by one and a half years.  Make that running, and it may add up to four years.  That’s the conclusion of a 2005 study published in the Archives of Internal Medicine.

5.      Brisk walking for just an hour or two a week can reduce the risk of breast cancer in postmenopausal women by nearly 20%.

6.      Working out improves your sex life, not only by enhancing self-esteem but also strengthening the cardiovascular system.
